SD Offroad recommended route
One short ride. Endless ways to explore.
This approximately 4.8-mile loop is just one example of a Glamis ride—not the only route or a required itinerary. Many different rides can be planned within legal riding areas to suit your group, experience and current conditions. Open this example in REVER to follow it on your phone, or download the GPX for another compatible navigation app.
Download the route for offline use before leaving—cell service may be limited in the riding area.
Glamis Short Route
This shared GPS track is a planning example, not a marked trail or an official land-manager route. Dunes and conditions change; do not follow the track blindly. Check current boundaries and closures, assess the terrain as you ride, and stay within your ability. A short route does not necessarily mean an easy route.
Why riders go

Important riding notes
- Dune crests can hide steep drop-offs and oncoming riders.
- Never stop immediately below a crest or in a high-traffic bowl.
- Confirm tire setup, recovery gear and skill level are appropriate for sand.
- Holiday weekends can bring heavy traffic and additional enforcement.
